Gospel Orthodoxy

Ours is faith handed down to us, and the historical confessions of the church are not to be forgotten. Therefore, gospel orthodoxy is important. If you don’t like the word orthodoxy, integrity will do. Allegiance to sound biblical doctrine and to the historical confessions of the church is a gospel issue that demands our fidelity.

Remember the problem Paul faced in Galatia. False brothers who proclaimed another gospel wanted to add works to the grace of God, something that would dilute and corrupt the gospel. To correct this, Paul brings the glorious doctrine of justification to bear. Gospel orthodoxy was the answer.
