Stewards of the Sacred Secret

We come back to our study in Ephesians this week, looking at chapter 3:1 - 13. The word "mystery" appears 4 times in those verses, and it speaks of something that was unknown before the coming of Christ. That sacred secret is now fully revealed in Him.

And what is the mystery? By the grace of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, all believers are made to be one in Him (3:6). There is no longer any distinction. We may wonder what the big deal is, but I can assure you that this was no small controversy in the first century among converted Jews and Gentiles.

Believers are stewards of this sacred secret, making it known by preaching the unsearchable riches in Christ (3:8).
