A Better Priesthood

The symbolism of the Old Testament priesthood is a foreshadowing, the substance of which belongs to Christ (Colossians 2:17). Hebrews takes the position that Jesus fulfills the responsibilities and completes the symbolism like no other priest could dream to do.
In short, He is a better High Priest with a better priesthood. We are offered several reasons for this, the first of which is that He is better in heart.
