The Tale of Two Mountains

I love the mountains. They feature in my imagination. They feature in the Scripture too. Think Mount of Transfiguration, the Mount of Olives, or Mount Carmel.
Two more notable mountains that feature in both old and new testaments are mentioned in our text: Sinai and Zion. These two mountains are important because, according to the Holy Spirit, they symbolize old and new covenants realities. They speak of who we are and where we are going. Importantly, one will keep us in the race. We will take them one at a time today as we cover Hebrews 12:18-24, and The Tale of Two Mountains.
