Advent is an invitation to leave the busyness of the holidays behind. It is an intentional pause, in which we take time out, even in our worship services to reorient our hearts and minds around the gift God has given us in Jesus Christ. It is another chance to come to Jesus and find rest for our souls.
The first Sunday of Advent celebrates the hope we have in Christ and is commemorated by lighting the first advent candle of the season. We will study the subject from Romans 15:8 - 13.
