Faith Endures

Perseverance in the faith is a crucial element in our understanding of what faith is. Hebrews 11:32 - 40 fleshes that out for us. And quite frankly, it’s kind of a mixed bag. 6 men are named. Other are referenced generally. Some were winners. Some were losers. Some were courageous. Some were afraid. Some would suffer and others would be persecuted. Add it all together and we have quite a list.

But they all had one thing in common - they continued in their faith. In fact, they share this trait with every person recorded in chapter 11. They persevered in spite of their circumstances and in spite of their flaws. They believed God all the way to the end.

From them, we learn of the 7th consequence of genuine faith - it endures.
