The Test of Security

Trouble, specifically, financial trouble, reveals where we have placed our security. James 1:9 - 11 provide us with the details. Wealth is not the issue in the sense that it is evil. Poverty is not the prescription, in the sense that it is more holy. Both are circumstantial realities. And both in fact, are part of the same sovereignly ordained test, revealing where our true treasure is. Even though we cannot always see it clearly, our security for the present and for the future is found in Christ alone.
