In One Ear & Out the Other

If we could distill the entire book of James into a singular application, it would be found in chapter 1, verse 22 - be doers of the word, and not hearers only. While it is common in our culture to consume mass quantities of information, it is quite uncommon to digest the information and then apply it. In other words, it is normal to hear. It is exceptional to obey. Accordingly, a faith that works doesn’t let the Word of God go in one ear and out the other.
