Living in Christ

What is a Christian? According to the Oxford dictionary it is someone who adheres to the beliefs of Christianity. Now in some ways that is true, especially in regard to belief in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. However, the term Christian is used as a label in our culture today. It's used in the same manner as other labels like Republican, Democrat or even Razorback fans. Today we will look at Jesus' words in the High Priestly prayer of John 17, to not only define what a Christian is, but to define the purpose of the Christian life.
